How to choose an air-to-air heat pump
The catalogue has NØRDIS, GREE, Midea, Daikin and Panasonic series. Compare a specific model and size: a series usually comes in several sizes, each with its own figures.
- Heat in frost
If you plan to heat with it, check how much heat the unit gives at −22 °C. Makers state this in the data sheet under the colder climate (Colder season), and it is also in the EPREL database. Our calculator only sizes heating for units that have this data.
- Efficiency and energy class
Compare the heating and cooling classes separately, as they can differ. SCOP shows seasonal efficiency under standard conditions; what heating costs depends on the house and your tariff.
- Noise and controls
For a bedroom, check the indoor unit's quietest mode in decibels. See whether Wi-Fi control is built in or sold separately, and which airflow modes there are. If it is unclear how a feature will work in your room, ask us.
- Looks and comparing
Several series come in white and black, some also in graphite. In the catalogue you can mark up to three models and compare them side by side. Add installation and delivery for the same scope of work, otherwise the prices are not comparable.
